TITLES, registration, tags, renewals

Navigating the process of handling and completing a vehicle title can be challenging. After purchasing a vehicle, ensure that the title is properly signed by the seller and that the mileage is accurately recorded. Next, turn to the buyer's section on the back of the title and complete all required fields carefully. If you are uncertain about any part of the process, please refrain from completing the form and consult with us when you visit the office. We will be happy to assist you and provide clear guidance on how to complete the title correctly.

How should you correctly complete the buyer's section of the title after selling your vehicle? Don’t worry, we’re here to assist! On the front of the title, you’ll find a section for signatures. If you are the sole owner, simply sign once and release the odometer reading. If the title lists more than one owner, the procedure varies based on the conjunction used. If the conjunction is "OR," only one of the owners needs to sign. If the conjunction is "AND," both owners must sign.

Titling and registering your vehicle can sometimes be challenging. Fortunately, we can process your transactions quickly and efficiently. Whether you need a simple renewal or assistance with more complex matters such as abandoned vehicles, junked or reconstructed inspections, we are here to help. When visiting our office for a renewal, tab replacement, duplicate registration, or plate replacement, please bring your old registration or license plate, along with your driver’s license or ID. Additionally, we can offer useful tips to assist you in the future.

Important things to remember:

  • Ensure that your registration is always kept in your vehicle.

  • Keep your title in a safe and dry place.

  • Avoid letting your tabs expire for an extended period.
